Calgary EATS! Membership Criteria:
We seeks a diverse selection of people from the food system representing the key components of that system: production, processing, distribution, access, consumption, and waste recovery as well as related education programs, community development/programs, regulation & legislation, and initiatives advancing environmental sustainability and health in the food system.
In addition, we are looking for members who have expertise and interest in the areas of (i) marketing and communications (ii) governance & organizational development, and (iii) grant writing & fund development.
Member selection is based on level of experience and involvement in the food system, specific sector expertise, and alignment with Calgary EATS! vision and principles (see Selection Criteria Matrix). It is critical that members bring expertise and contribute a broad perspective rather than acting solely as a representative of their organization or business. Members will strive to cultivate relationships across stakeholder groups and populations within Calgary.
